NCPDP leadership and staff were in Washington, D.C., this week in support of NCPDP’s EDvocacy initiatives and its interoperable PDMP Solution.

During the EDvocacy Tour, NCPDP representatives met with 16 members of Congress, their staff and committee staff, representatives from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and industry stakeholder groups.

In conjunction with the EDvocacy Tour, Nicole Russell, NCPDP Manager of Government Affairs, testified at a briefing hosted by Health IT Now and the Association for Behavioral Health and Wellness on “Using Health IT to Combat the Opioid Crisis.” Russell outlined the need for an interoperable and proactive solution in the fight to combat opioid abuse. More than 40 Congressional staffers and industry stakeholders attended the briefing.
