NCPDP offers Educational Programs on various healthcare topics that are of interest to professionals in the pharmacy industry. These programs are hosted one day prior to the February Work Group Meetings. The topic of the 2012 Educational Program was "NCPDP Standards in Pharmacy Rules and Regulations: From Inception to Implementation". Other past topics have focused on e-Prescribing, Manufacturer Rebates, HIPAA Privacy, Pharmacy Technologies and Product Identification.

Educational Program attendees represent the diverse factions of pharmacy, with a variety of attendance depending on the topic. The Educational Programs are of importance to PBMs, wholesalers, manufacturers, telecommunication vendors, health plans, government agencies, pharmacies, database management organizations, insurers and more.

February 2013 Summit
